A 30-man task force yesterday arrested six people for their alleged involvement in illegal online gambling operations during a raid in Bangkok's Bang Khunthian district, authorities said. The site offered several online gambling services including football matches and baccarat. The suspects, who were charged in connection with illegal gambling, would be questioned further as the authorities look to widen the investigation. Witthayaporn Chantawat, an Amlo investigator, said authorities obtained the search warrant from the Thon Buri District Court yesterday after they uncovered evidence to link the premises to online gambling. It was reported that Amlo and the Metropolitan Police Division 6 had spent more than a month collecting evidence before they asked the court to issue the search warrant.
